Also, if you get Cakewalk by BandLab (Free SONAR Platinum - great for Audio Post or Scoring Videos), it's high quality Sonitus FX plug-ins work in VEGAS Pro. They're comparable to MAGIX eFX, so a great addition if you are on VEGAS Pro 15. Given how customizable the parameters are, they may also be a better option for power users in VP16 - where overlap exists. VEGAS has decent Audio, but you cannot create your own music in it due to it lacking MIDI and VSTi support. A DAW is still very useful for that - especially one as good and cheap as this, which has historically always had very strong MIDI support. Also, while not a plug-in, per se. Blackmagic Fusion 9 is a very nice VFX/Compositing package which has a very good Free SKU, and more features than HitFilm Express.

It can easily be integrated into a VEGAS Pro workflow, and I tend to do most of my VFX, Compositing, Keying, etc. There than using plug-ins in VEGAS Pro. Higher Quality, and doesn't mess up my playback performance in the NLE.

It's going to give better results for things like basic color correction, keying, tracking, etc.I bet one could write scripts to integrate the two, though. I might investigate this.If I'm going to be completely honest, I see little use for Ignite Express, since you can send a shot out to Fusion for all of this stuff. You get used to the workflow after a while. Especially once you start 'organizing' the way you work better.Maybe a few more tutorials on how to use VEGAS Pro with these other (often freely available) tools is something we can provide. The only plug-in from NB Prime that I really like is their Stabilizer, as it's somewhat better than VEGAS Pro 15's (can't speak for 16), but is a clip effect and not a Media Effect; so it's more logical to use. The Chroma Key Pro is better than VEGAS' Chroma Keyer, so useful if you don't want to send shots out to a Compositing App for Keying (but the Keyers in Fusion are so superior. That I can't NOT use them:-P ).

Shake effect is too easy to duplicate in any NLE without destroying preview performance and increasing render times, IMHO. Not worth it to me, and I never use this effect on video anyways. I would only really use that for something like VFX and Motion Graphics, and most VFX and Motion Graphics tools have this effect built in. They don't need Ignite Express for it.Fusion 9 is free on Windows, and Apple Motion 5 is only $49 on macOS (trivial to round trip, even across PC and macOS).Personally, I'm not a huge fan of doing Motion Graphics and VFX in the NLE. It just destroys performance and ramps up project render times dramatically.

I much prefer to use tools designed for this, and just render out the shots (or Graphics) back to use in the NLE. So, I'm always getting real-time performance. Also, all of my Comps and Motion Graphics work is portable, because I can save the compositions and projects to adjust/edit and reuse in other video projects;-)In general, I recommend using 3rd party effects only when necessary; to reduce project dependencies on 3rd party software. Because the video stuff had already been mentioned. Fifa 13 i68regenerator 3.2.

Also I don't find mich of the video stuff to be of great use. Ignite Express, IMHO, isn't really that useful.

I don't even bother to install it.NBFX Prime is useful for the Stabilizer (Clip Effect, better workflow, as good as VP16's Stabilizer) and Chroma Key Pro (better than VEGAS' Native Keyer). But if I were a Premiere, Edius, or Resolve editor. I am not sure I would bother installing that, either, as those NLEs have defaults that are much better (and have been routinely updated/improved over the years - most of NewBlue's stuff is fairly 'Legacy,' these days.

As they seem to have been focusing more on Titler Pro/Live and largely ceding that space to BorisFX).I wouldn't bother with the SeMW stuff at all, as it's been out of support for a while and is eclipsed by native VP 15/16 functionality. Maybe useful if you're on an old version of the NLE (13/14, etc.).VEGAS Ships with a lot of Audio Effects, but most of them - like the video stuff - have been neglected over the years. This is why MAGIX is just adding essentialFX in, instead of updating the equivalent native VEGAS Audio Effects.

So, I feel alerting uses to those is of more use and utility, from a practical standpoint. In the subreddit someone also gave away some nice presets for VEGAS Pro, as well, but it's late and I can't be bothered to dig up the thread at this time (it was close to two weeks ago, by now, I think. So it may be a bit buried).
